Overview The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects online ACT Math tutors with thousands of students nationwide. As a tutor on the platform, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning journeys—from your home. What We Look For In a Tutor Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in ACT Math and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Responsibilities and How You’ll Connect With Students 1-on-1 online tutoring providing personalized instruction to individual students. On-demand tutoring requests accepted whenever you’re available. Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. Compensation and Benefits Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40/hour with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time. We handle the logistics—you invoice for tutoring sessions and we take care of payments.
