CABINET MAKER-

This position is a temp to hire position.
Integrity Trade Services is IMMEDIATELY hiring for Cabinet makers at our client In Rockdale that specializes in electrical components
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire
SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for making cabinets, operating machinery and power tools, job setup & sequencing, and interpreting and reading blueprints, drawings and specifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Operates various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade wood components and products to meet blueprint, drawing and other established specifications.
- Applies laminate to cabinets and other wood surfaces.
- Operates a variety of woodworking machines such as a router, edge bander, jointer, table saw, and wall saw to cut, shape and finish wood parts that meet blueprint, drawing and other established specifications.
- Participates in job setup & sequencing.
- Correctly read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired.
- Marks outline or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock, according to blueprint or drawing specifications.
- Matches materials for color, grain, or texture.
- Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using boring machine.
- Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit, using clamps or clamping machine.
- Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing.
- Dip, brush, or spray assembled articles with protective or decorative materials, such as stain, varnish, or paint and in accordance with their application specifications.
- Install hardware, such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
- Comply w/ safety regulations & maintain clean & orderly work areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS 3 years of Cabinet Maker experience in a manufacturing setting and graduation from a standard vocational or high school; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Considerable knowledge of the practices, materials, machinery, and tools of the cabinet making trade.
- Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
- Familiarity with production methods in wood and metal preferred
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act. The 12 month
accrual period is considered to begin for new employees on the employees first day of employment. An employee is entitled to begin using earned and accrued paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment. Paid leave under this Act shall accrue at the rate of one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours of paid leave
- 401(k) with company match for eligible employees.
Eligibility: Active employees with one year of work and during that one year has completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age. Entry dates into the 401(k) are: 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing 1,000 hours of work.
The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution. As well as, match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
