Meet Your Future Neighbors As an Engineering Manager of the Traffic team at Nextdoor, you will play a critical role in attracting new users by ensuring their initial experiences with our platform are engaging and valuable. You will lead a talented team of engineers responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining essential external surfaces, including third-party integrations. Your focus will be on growing organic user acquisition channels and driving targeted traffic to Nextdoor. You will oversee the optimization of SEO strategies and other traffic-driving mechanisms such as content sharing and user invites. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional partners to implement innovative solutions. As a technical leader, you will guide your team through complex projects, manage professional development, and contribute to enhancing user experience on Nextdoor. The Impact You'll Make Your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing a team of engineers Collaborating with product teams to create engaging content Partnering with Product and Data Science teams to measure product impact Making significant technical contributions based on data insights Developing scalable, reliable full-stack technologies focused on performance Handling all aspects of product development from strategy to launch Participating in cross-functional discussions and design reviews Engaging in team-building activities and in-person events Building relationships within the team and contributing to Nextdoor's culture Participating in hiring and developing engineering talent Owning operational metrics of the Traffic team What You'll Bring To The Team At least 1+ years of people management or equivalent experience Experience hiring and developing high-performance engineers Experience in user-generated content product development Deep empathy for customer needs and business insights Comfort across the product development spectrum from strategy to delivery Proven engineering excellence and operational skills Rewards Nextdoor offers comprehensive compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs. The starting salary ranges from $220,000 - $270,000 annually, potentially higher based on proficiency and geography. Equity grants are also provided with quarterly vesting, beginning within the first three months.
