Job Description

The Stacker Operator is responsible for the operation of the part of the corrugator that forms loads of sheets after the paper has been combined, slit, scored, and cut to length.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the automatic functions of the stacker and make manual adjustments when necessary.
• Place tags in each load to identify the product.
• Place bottom sheets and tie sheets in the loads to protect and stabilize the product.
• Perform quality inspections such as board quality, sheet, score dimensions, and board caliper.
• Record inspection results on the Factory Job Ticket and maintain SPC Charts for caliper readings.
• Communicate with other crew members to make adjustments when nonconforming product is identified.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 3 months of manufacturing experience or a high school diploma/GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, and read measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills to input production information into the system.
• Experience with machine operation, industrial processes, and packaging.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.53 - $22.53/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
