Job Description

2nd Shift General Production Worker

Engage in manual and mechanical tasks to support operations involving a range of limited equipment and tools for the fabrication and assembly of foam and/or plastic containers. The role involves operating tools and equipment, as well as interpreting basic prints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and equipment in fabrication and assembly processes.
• Read and interpret simple prints, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform various simple fabrication and assembly operations.
• Pick parts and supplies from inventory as instructed.
• Assist in setting up and operating cutting, drilling, saws, glue applicators, assembly tools, drill presses, and hand tools.
• Cut stock to precise dimensions and tolerances as instructed.
• Conduct gluing, taping, flame treating, and labeling operations.
• Perform masking and painting tasks as required.
• Review product specifications and perform tests, visual inspections, and dimension checks.
• Identify any out-of-specification conditions and report them to a supervisor or manager.
• Adhere to quality standards and safety precautions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assembly and use of tools such as glue guns and tape measures.
• Basic math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable with working 2 hours of overtime daily and some Saturdays.
• Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.

Work Environment

The work environment can be potentially loud at times. The position requires working the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ontario, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
