Valley Hospital Medical Center, located in the heart of Las Vegas, is a tertiary‑care and teaching hospital offering advanced cardiovascular, neurological and surgical services. It has achieved nationally‑recognized designation as a Primary Stroke Center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The hospital provides a wide range of services including open‑heart surgery, cardiac catheterizations, neurosurgery, stroke care, surgical procedures, endoscopy, wound healing, hyperbaric care, and outpatient diabetes education. Position Summary The selected candidate will provide day‑to‑day operations for various hospital departments, manage assigned projects, and implement the strategy of the CEO and COO to maximize quality of services and hospital profitability. The individual will also enroll in corporate Leadership Development classes to develop as a junior executive and prepare for a potential COO role within UHS. Requirements Knowledge Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions, including budgeting and forecasting for limited departments and/or projects. Skills Detail oriented, adept at managing multiple hospital operations, and possesses effective communication skills with diverse groups, including physicians, managers, and employees. Education Master’s degree required (MBA, MHA or related program).
