Key Responsibilities Install solar panel systems on rooftops, ground mounts, and other structures according to manufacturer guidelines and company standards. Conduct site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement, taking into account structural integrity, sun exposure, and electrical requirements. Connect solar panels to inverters, batteries, and the electrical grid safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing solar installations. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards. Collaborate with electricians, engineers, and project managers to complete installations on time and within budget. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including site evaluations, system testing, and maintenance activities. Educate clients on proper system use and maintenance procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as a solar panel installer, technician, or in a related field. Solid understanding of photovoltaic systems, electrical wiring, and safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and installation manuals. Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment safely. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP, OSHA) are a plus. Experience Minimum of 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in solar panel installation or renewable energy systems. Experience with residential, commercial, or utility‑scale solar installations preferred. Working Hours Full‑time position, typically 40–45 hours per week. Flexible scheduling may be required based on project deadlines and site locations. Occasional weekend or evening work may be necessary. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities In‑depth knowledge of solar technology, electrical systems, and green construction practices. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
