Trust & Estate Planning Associate – Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago

Direct Counsel is seeking a Trust & Estate Planning Associate to join a top-tier Estate Planning Practice Group in Madison . This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior associate to develop their skills in sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management.

• 1-4 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer strategies
• Background in:
  • Estate plan and business succession planning for high-net-worth individuals
  • Charitable giving and tax-exempt organization planning
  • Estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning
  • Probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates
  • Federal gift and estate tax returns
• Strong document drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills
• JD from an ABA-approved law school and active Wisconsin Bar membership (or willingness to obtain timely admission)
• Strong academic credentials and a team-oriented mindset
